Running through the bushes like a crazed thoroughbred
Pouncing like a lion on the food she’s fed

Gnawing on a finger like a starved grizzly bear
Snapping like a turtle at the clothes we wear

Chewing on all things with the teeth of a shark
Contemplating what deserves a bark!

Sniffing out the air, as if a basset hound
Retrieving little toys to make her daddy proud

Meeting new friends like a social butterfly
Growing like a beanstalk as the weeks pass by

Learning lots of things like where to poop and pee
Sweet little puppy is a sight to see!

Plopping down to sleep like a little baby pup
Little Macie Junebug we’d never give her up!
