Our pup-dog Lucky hasn't been herself lately. She's been tired, occasionally vomiting, and not eating. She's lost 12 pounds. I thought maybe she had FTT, failure to thrive, and this might be the end of her:( She is 9 now.
Jeff took her to the vet today, and we found out she has Lyme disease! Last summer at the cabin she did have several deer ticks on her.... even though we use that tick deterrent chemical.
So... antibiotics and food coaxing continue. The vet said that if she doesn't eat soon we'll have to feed her hamburger and rice! Sort of funny to cook for your dog. Poor thing. I do feel sorry for her.

That makes me sad :( Hopefully she will feel alot better after her treatment.

Oh my gosh! Well at least you found out what it was. Poor lucky...she probably didn't need Daivd pulling on her tail last weekend!!
At least you know what is wrong with her and hopefully she'll bounce back! Those darn ticks!! I just found a tick on Coop the other day...it's that time of year!
