The morning started with Lucky trying to catch flies in the office while I was checking email and blogs on the computer. Soon I heard Lucky prancing around the front door like someone was here. I peered out and saw a woodchuck beside our front steps!! This is not the first time we've had various wild, forest creatures in our yard. Oh no! They seem to follow us wherever we go. First, there was the very large turtle that was lost and trying to lay eggs in our new landscape rock. Then, the hornet nest that was hanging from the tree in the back yard. There's the pheasant roster who is always crowing, and his hens who are eating in the back yard. The occasional fox who runs through. The deer that Jeff tries to attract with a pile of corn amidst our backyard trees, and all the other animals that are also attracted (raccoons, ducks, possum, rabbits, birds). Oh yes, we've had squirrels attempt to make a nest in our vacant gas grill; now that they've abandoned it, the bumble bees are buzzing in there! And also.....the woodchuck!!
